The neighborhood is very quiet, and street parking was a plus. However, if you have the back unit, there is excessive mud in the back, so once you get out the vehicle, whatever shoes you have on will need to have the mud cleaned off. Also, there was dog poop on the ground. The apartment was clean, cozy, but the floors are thin, so any walking during the early morning will cause a noise complaint from whoever is on the bottom floor, even if you are a light walker. There is a no noise policy between certain hours, so if you have to get up early for meetings, there may be a noise issue complaint, again, even if you are a light walker, the floors are thin. Lastly, inside the building, I didn’t feel like the rooms were properly secured as the latch was visible and one could see inside the other apartments due to poor installation of the doors. There are security cameras outside, and the outside door is code locked, but once inside, the apartments are not safely secured. Overall, the landlord was polite, prompt, and understanding.

GUESTS BEWARE - SLUMLORD OPERATOR IN DETROIT

Nothing. This was officially the worst property I have ever stayed in. It is a disgrace that such a dangerous property & host should be allowed to be on booking.com.

Less good: Here is the full list: - Neighbor's fire alarm went off shortly after I arrived for about 30 minutes. - There was no fire escape or fire notice on walls to say how to safely exit. This is illegal. - My fire alarm went off due to steam from shower. The host did nothing. Instead they blamed me for tampering with it & were verbally abusive when they called me. - Air conditioning unit pipe came loose on its own meaning carbon dioxide & warm air was blowing in the room. This could've killed me. Another illegal thing I found. - The ceiling vent in bathroom came loose on its own. Instead of offering to fix it, they blamed me for tampering with it. - They have a post-it note on the wifi router saying if you unplug it, you get a $400 fine. This is a total slumlord trap. - do NOT stay here & report this owner to the City of Detroit so other guests do not have to go through this nightmare.

Less good: L'appartamento che ci è stato assegnato era al secondo piano, raggiungibile tramite scale ripidissime. È molto distante dal centro ed è necessario prendere la macchina o l'autobus: non è possibile raggiungerlo a piedi. Inoltre, l'aria condizionata era molto rumorosa e non c'era modo di regolarla o spegnerla.
