8.0Very goodWe only used it to sleep in, really didn’t hang out there. The water pressure for the shower was great and we got two…
It was very close to our destination (Ford Stadium)
Less good: Wish I would’ve brought my own pillows

8.0Very goodTotally comfortable in a basic setting … nice neighbors
The host was responsive and helpful. Property was quiet and decent…. No frills but that’s fine. We slept great.
Less good: A little too no frills. Probably not for travelers who want anything above basic. Probably should invest a little bit more in decor and so on….

8.0Very goodNice place in a convenient location
Nice, quiet place in a very convenient location, a 3-minute drive to the I-96 and a 15-minute drive to downtown. There is even a bus. The apartment is not luxurious, but at $250 for three nights it is good value for money. Clearly the host cares about the comments posted here because a dining table and chairs were added, as well as a bedside table in one of the rooms.
Less good: The wi-fi didn't work after the first day. The plastic curtain that replaces the bathroom door is broken and doesn't close properly. The deposit process is not convenient for foreigners: it requires being able to place phone calls and send SMSs on the day of your arrival and, unlike what is written on booking, com, cash is not accepted, so the only option for a foreigner is to pay by credit card, with a $7.50 processing fee charged by the host.

10.0ExceptionalI enjoyed it and I had a great stay.
The beds were really comfortable, no cups but we had a good variety of dishes, there was air conditioning provided and tvs with service.
Less good: Too many house rules for me to clean when there is a cleaning fee, I personally think it’s a little silly and outrageous

1.0out of 10Detroit SCAM city, don't stay here
Nothing. This property is a scam. Don't stay here.
Less good: Should have read the reviews before I booked this place. I use this site/app frequently and have for years. This is probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I'm going to check reviews more carefully from now on. I also don't usually take pictures and videos of places I rent because it's never been necessary. Document everything if you choose to stay here. I paid the security deposit before I arrived. If you dig through the property's add, you will find the security deposit mentioned. You will not find any mention of a service fee, which is 15 or 20 dollars depending on the method you choose. I chose bank transfer because the fee was cheapest, but I think this exactly the method they wanted to steer me towards because this type of payment is more difficult to dispute/recover. I paid because it was the day I was to check in and had little other choice. This was the first of a series of disappointing surprises. I'm from the area and knew I was staying in the west side of Detroit. I knew what the neighborhood was likely to look like and that the house was probably old and patched together. When I arrived, I was told to follow the rules posted inside the apartment. These were not communicated to me ahead of time, and would be a simple and helpful thing to include in the property's ad, but they chose not to. The rules were pretty standard, but included cleaning out the apartment. I don't rent places where I have to do a bunch of cleaning, and would have thought twice about renting this place had the house rules been communicated to me prior to booking. This was another unpleasant surprise. There was a 60 dollar cleaning fee included in the price I paid to book, and the security deposit was also collected to ensure cleanliness, but the place was not clean when I arrived. The table was smudged and dirty. There was dried food and debris left on the some of the dishes.

Less good: The booking itself was terrible due to non responsive "guest relations ". It was literally a very unprofessional individual who insisted that we pay security deposit through cashapp and not debit because it takes 2 weeks he said, yo get deposit back through debit and it's "instant " through cashapp. To his personal cashapp by the way.

5.0out of 10House was decent the heat is not very user friendly. Door lock is challenging to use
Host did not respond with entry information in a timely manner and requested money via cash app to receive a door code for entry. No advance notice prior to 3pm check it.
Less good: The host had to be called and messaged over 10 times to get information of how to enter the home. Once the responded the required 165 to gain entry to the home. They will not return the deposit
